Health officials in Wisconsin reported Tuesday that they have recorded 6,977 deaths from the coronaviruses coronavillae, a rise of more than 600 since January.
The latest tally is a significant jump over the 5,664 deaths recorded in February, which is also a big jump.
In total, more than 4,000 people have died in the U.K. and nearly 5,000 in the United States from coronas.
The United States recorded its first deaths from both coronavids.
Health officials say more than a quarter of the deaths in the country have been from the virus.
