In a new interview with Vulture, Dwayne Johnson revealed he’s considering an untitled DwayneJohnson film, which he says he is developing with his friend and director of “Dancing” Nick Cannon.
“Nick’s an amazing guy,” Johnson said, “but we have a lot of things going on.
He’s the guy who has the vision, he’s the dude who is in charge of it, and I’m the guy that’s in charge, because I’m on the board of directors.”
Johnson has also discussed plans to direct the “Dirty Dance” remake, which would see the character of a former dancer who has become an international sensation as a performer in “Dance with the Stars” and a leading role in the upcoming Disney-Marvel superhero movie “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Johnson, who also plays a dancer in the “Punk’d” films, was recently in Australia filming a new “Dancer” episode.
Johnson said he and Cannon have talked about how to tackle the rebooted character.
“We have ideas of what it could be,” Johnson told Vulture.
“But we haven’t actually started on anything yet.”
The DwayneJobs movie would be “one of those films where we can’t wait until we have it,” Johnson added.
“Because we have all these things that we want to do.
I feel like it would be really fun. “
I’m very excited about it.
I feel like it would be really fun.
It’s the ultimate version of the character that was so popular for so long.”
“Dancers” creator Nick Cannon will direct the project.
